Broadway Elementary School is seeking to hire teachers for both the English and Mandarin components of our expanding Dual Language Mandarin Immersion Program.
 

Interested candidates for the English teacher:

  • California Elementary Multiple Subject Credential
  • Fluency in Mandarin is NOT required

Interested candidates for the Mandarin teacher MUST have:

  • California Elementary Multiple Subject Credential
  • BCLAD in Mandarin
  • Proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin

All candidates must also meet the following criteria:

  • Enthusiastic
  • Creative
  • Nurturing
  • Have elementary school teaching experiences
  • Good team player
  • Experience and training in working with GATE students is strongly desired

TA Positions at Broadway
Broadway Mandarin Immersion is seeking to hire Mandarin-speaking Teaching Assistants to help in the classroom. 

Applicant Qualifications:

  • Speak fluently in Mandarin
  • Read and write traditional characters (preferred)
  • Follow instructions and support teachers in implementing the instructional program
  • Be punctual and present at work everyday
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic
  • Take initiative and be responsible for assigned duties
  • Supervise students independently on the yard to ensure student safety
  • Follow all District policies and demonstrate professional conduct
  • Communicate with adults and children effectively and professionally
  • Support and nurture all students
  • Pass TB test within 60 days of employment
  • Pass security clearance

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m.
Note: TAs work only on regular school days when students are in session. No work or pay for non-school days.
