Admission & Enrollment

Application Procedure for M.I. Kindergarten 2015–2016

Enrollment applications for the 2015–16 Kindergarten cohort will be available in the Main Office at Broadway Elementary School on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Review the chart below to determine your enrollment priority and submit one application per child within your application window. 

Permits are NOT required to submit an application. Click HERE for information re: Obtaining a Permit.

3/9/15 – 3/13/15
4 School districts other than LAUSD 3/16/15 – 3/20/15

 

PLEASE NOTE:

  1. Your child must be five years old by September 1, 2015, to enroll 
    in the 2015–16 Kindergarten cohort.
  2. Your child must be fluent in either English or Mandarin to apply. Latino students with basic proficiency in English may apply.
  3. Children applying as fluent Mandarin-speakers will be tested in Mandarin
    to verify their listening and speaking ability.
  4. Enrollment applications submitted after March 20, 2015, will be date- and
    time-stamped and placed on a wait list, in the order received, regardless
    of enrollment priority or area of residence.
  5. Please note that the enrollment packet is somewhat lengthy and requires several supporting documents, all of which are detailed on the cover page of the packet.You should allow yourself several days to complete/compile it. No incomplete enrollment packages will be accepted. Permits are NOT required at the time of enrollment.
