Curbside Valet Drop-Off

The Student Curbside Valet Service allows students to be safely dropped off at school in the morning without the need for parking. The service is offered between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. each week day and is being organized exclusively by parent volunteers from all classrooms. Parent volunteers arrive at 7:50 a.m. for set-up.

How Curbside Valet Drop-Off Works:

Drivers, please arrive at school heading east on Broadway Street (traveling towards Lincoln Boulevard). From Lincoln, please turn WEST on California Ave., RIGHT on Oakwood, then RIGHT again onto Broadway Street. Do NOT make a U-turn on Broadway Street in front of the main gate or staff parking lot as it is illegal, unsafe, and drivers will be ticketed. This service is being implemented in cooperation with the LAPD and will be monitored by their officers.

To ensure the safety of all children, all drivers should follow these simple rules:

  1. Please follow the instructions of the Valet crew.
  2. Please do not park within 10 feet of the orange coned area.
  3. Pull all the way forward to the volunteer with the STOP sign (unloading zone) before allowing children to exit the car.
  4. Allow the adult Valet to assist children from the car. Drivers do not need to exit their vehicles.
  5. Children should gather their books, backpacks, jackets, lunch and/or any personal belongings prior to reaching the Valet Zone so they are ready to immediately exit the car.
  6. Before exiting the Valet area, drivers should wait for a signal from the Valet Volunteer to ensure children are safely out of the way.

Consider volunteering periodically to help make this service a success!
