Room parents are the liaison between the teachers and parents. There are two room parents per homeroom. In the Mandarin Immersion Program, one of them should be Mandarin-speaking.

Preferably, room parents are those who can be on campus in the morning and afternoon, as these are the best times to communicate with other parents and stay abreast of how things are going in the classroom. 

Room parents are selected by the teachers during the first few weeks of school. Let your homeroom teacher know if you’re interested in this important job!
